7 Quotes: Defining Joy in Our Lives

*** 7 quotes to consider about how we live our joy.

*** Views today: 7,542 and Thank You!

From Denny: Joy is one of those human experiences that everyone knows and has experienced yet we have a tough time defining it. Joy seems elusive to define in words but we all know that moment when it occurs.

Joy is a state which lives inside us all. Sometimes, because of outward situations and circumstances, we lose touch with our joy. When difficult times come into our lives they can often erode our connection with our inner joy - if we allow it. Never allow anyone or any situation to take your joy.

Negative experiences only have power when we give away our authority to it. When we experience anger, sorrow, fear and hurt it's important to ride through that moment and then shed those negative emotions. Negative emotions are useful to help make us acutely aware of something requiring our attention - then release them. The joy is always there for it is eternal and infinite.

Experiencing lasting joy is accomplished when we cultivate the Divine Presence within us. Constantly nurturing our awareness of that connection strengthens us and keeps our attitude positive.

Joy is this indescribable beauty, stronger felt within that can be lived every day, no matter what is going on around us. Take some time each day to acknowledge your connection to the Divine - and smile, knowing you are living in the vast limitless moment of Joy!

3 Wonderful Quotes About Joy

Let your spirit soar!

From Denny: Rather than simplistic sayings for a poster which are meant to make you feel positive for the day, these quotes are interesting in how the authors view the living of joy in their lives. Most special is Shakespeare's blessing to those of us generations later!

Quotes

* When the power of imparting joy is equal to the will, the human soul requires no other heaven. - Percy Bysshe Shelley

* There are souls in this world which have their gift of finding joy everywhere and of leaving it behind them when they go. - Frederick William Faber

* I wish you all the joy that you can wish. - William Shakespeare

Why is Joy Important to Cultivate in Your Life?

Water Fairy Photo by alexiuss

From Denny: When harsh life tests come our way and often becoming overwhelming it can be difficult to maintain our joy.

It's imperative to cultivate joy, even the smallest joy in our lives. Why? Because joy is the door to creativity and creativity is the door to problem-solving.

Each dovetails into the other. Do your best to find joy in something or someone no matter how small and insignificant you may think it to be. In the end, no joy was insignificant if it kept your spiritual spark alive and thriving. Enjoy your world with enthusiasm!

Quote

* Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Joy is the Holy Fire for Your Passion!

From Denny: This is the third of three quotes on Joy. One of the reasons I promote Joy so much is because it is directly related to a personal passion, the passion of the spirit which refreshes and rejuvenates us to live another moment, another day, our life time. It ignites us to act and fuels us to go on when a situation can look tough otherwise and warms us in our time of disappointment. Joy is so strong it can propel us past all obstacles! Cultivate your Joy today!

Quote

“Joy is the holy fire that keeps our purpose warm and our intelligence aglow.”

Helen Keller quotes (American Author and Educator who was blind and deaf, a pioneer in promoting sign language to communicate. 1880-1968)
