What's intriguing about this one is that is more than encouragment to follow your dreams. Rather he advises we focus on the intense beauty in all its aspects of the dreams as we engage, follow and become our dreams.

From Denny: FDR was one deep thinker. Repeatedly he was faced with difficult decisions about the fate of others, often agonizing over the possible outcomes. Quotes like this one only come from much soul-searching and the personal experience of putting into practice what he had figured out.

FDR on wealth and poverty in society

From Denny: FDR has always been a favorite President of mine and Americans in general. He was not a perfect man and had his flaws like anyone.

Yet, like Obama today, he faced an uphill economic climb for this country. For him there was no precedent and he struck out boldly, hoping for the best to occur.

Isn't it haunting how his words from this quote of 60 years ago rings the same Truth today...?

Ask FDR: Does Injustice and Republican belong in the same sentence?

In his day, over 60 years ago, FDR was always challenging his opponents, namely the Republicans. Today's political strategists think they are the first to utilize the idea of defining the opposition. Yet here is FDR actually declaring what the true meaning of conservative is supposed to be about, not how it was corrupted. Of course, the following FDR definition is far removed from what we today know about the ongoing philosophy of the Republican Party.
